About Judith

Aside from living for three years in both England and Texas, Judi DeChesere-Boyle was raised in Kentucky. Her childhood was spent outdoors catching fireflies, wandering to the creek, and watching the starry night sky. Once inside, however, she read, spending many hot, humid afternoons or icy evenings engrossed in books. She also wrote, filling pages with rambling thoughts and short stories.

After attending the University of Kentucky, Judi ventured to California, where she completed her education with an A.A. degree from College of Marin, a B.A. degree from San Francisco State University, and an M.A. and two teaching credentials from Sonoma State University. Teaching became both her profession and her lifestyle. She loved it, and although she remains connected with many former students, writing is now her primary focus. She is the author of seven books, including six works of fiction and the memoir Tumor Me: The Story of My Firefighter.

Judi has raised two wonderful sons and lives with her husband, her best friend, in Sonoma County, California. Besides writing, she is an avid reader, cares for her gardens, raises beautiful orchids, tends a lovely koi pond, and enjoys daily walks with her German Shepherd.

Her life has provided her with seemingly unlimited material for her writing. She writes something every day. Her blog, I Street Imaginings, can be found through Blogspot.com. She also has a professional Facebook page, I Street Books And Such, where she shares news about her books, blog posts, and other items she finds interesting. She can also be found on LinkedIn, where she enjoys connecting with professionals who share her interests.
